YouTuber Elvish Yadav Faces Legal Heat After Alleged Assault on Content Creator
In a shocking turn of events, popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav, accompanied by a group of individuals, has been accused of assaulting a Delhi-based content creator in a Gurugram shopping mall located in the Sector 53 area, as reported by the police on Friday.
The incident, captured in a video that surfaced on social media, unfolds a disturbing narrative of alleged physical violence and threats. The complainant, Sagar Thakur, a content creator hailing from Delhi boasting an impressive following of over 1.6 million subscribers on YouTube, 890,000 followers on Instagram, and 250,000 followers on X, has come forward with serious accusations against Yadav.
According to Thakur, he and Yadav have had a relationship since 2021. However, in recent months, Thakur claims that fan pages dedicated to Elvish Yadav have been circulating hate and propaganda, causing significant distress.
Thakur narrates the events leading to the alleged assault, stating that Yadav proposed a meeting on Friday under the guise of a 'discussion.' Expecting a civil conversation, Thakur agreed to the meeting. However, upon arrival at the store, Thakur alleges that Yadav, accompanied by 8-10 inebriated individuals, initiated a brutal assault, resorting to physical violence and verbal abuse. Shockingly, Thakur asserts that Yadav attempted to break his spine, with the apparent intention of causing permanent physical disability.
"In the last few months, Elvish fan pages have been spreading hate and propaganda which made me distressed," he said.
"Before leaving, Elvish Yadav threatened to kill me, and I was almost unconscious (after the beatings)," Thakur stated in his official complaint.
The distressing incident reportedly occurred around 12:30 am on Friday. Subsequent to Thakur's formal complaint, an FIR was registered against Elvish Yadav and the accompanying group under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 147 (riots), 149 (unlawful assembly), 323 (causing hurt), and 506 (criminal intimidation) at Sector 53 Police Station on Friday evening.
As the legal process unfolds, the local authorities, led by SHO Rajender Kumar, are actively investigating the matter. The allegations against Elvish Yadav, a prominent figure in the digital content creation space, have sparked widespread concern and condemnation on social media.
