"Hindustani 2" is an upcoming Tamil vigilante action film directed by S. Shankar. Produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies, it is a sequel to the 1996 film "Indian." Kamal Haasan reprises his role as Senapathy, an ageing freedom fighter turned vigilante fighting corruption. The ensemble cast includes S. J. Suryah, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, and others. Filming began in 2019 but faced delays, including a tragic accident in 2020. After a hiatus due to various factors, including the COVID-19 pandemic, production resumed in 2022 with Red Giant Movies as co-producers. The film features extensive shooting locations and a notable technical crew.
