PM Modi inaugurates India's largest textiles event Bharat Tex 2024
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Bharat Tex 2024, a global textile event in Delhi, emphasizing its role in celebrating India's diverse textile heritage and fostering collaboration within the industry. Union Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted the remarkable growth of Bharat Mandapam in just seven months, proposing Phase 2 initiation at Bharat Mandapam and YashoBhoomi to meet increasing demand.
During the inauguration, Prime Minister Modi acknowledged India's global prominence in cotton, jute, and silk production, emphasizing government support for farmers and the significance of the Kasturi Cotton initiative. Bharat Tex 2024 showcased handloom and handicraft traditions from states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, with Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra designated as 'Partner States.'
