Jasprit Bumrah has been omitted from India's Test squad for the fourth Test

Renowned Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been granted release from the squad for the upcoming 4th Test against England, as confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday. The decision to release Bumrah is attributed to the consideration of the series duration and the substantial amount of cricket he has recently played.

In an official statement, the BCCI stated, "Jasprit Bumrah has been released from the squad for the 4th IDFC First Bank Test against England in Ranchi. The decision was taken keeping in mind the duration of the series and amount of cricket he has played in recent times." Additionally, wicket-keeper batter KL Rahul has been ruled out of the 4th Test, and his participation in the final Test match in Dharamsala will be contingent on his fitness.

Furthermore, Mukesh Kumar, who was earlier released from the squad for the Rajkot Test, has rejoined the team in Ranchi. While there were earlier speculations about Bumrah's potential rest from the third Test, no official announcement was made by the Indian board, and he participated in the Rajkot Test, showcasing impressive and tight bowling skills.
